Alchemy & Golden Dawn Ritual
Within the Golden Dawn’s complex initiatory system, Alchemy has long remained the most elusive and least articulated component. In this revised Second Edition of Alchemy & Golden Dawn Ritual, Pat Zalewski brings long-needed clarity to this neglected corner of the tradition.
Rather than offering abstract theory, Zalewski traces how alchemical symbolism operates within Golden Dawn ritual structure and temple work. His approach provides the reader with a functional framework — one that opens the door to deeper personal research and practical application.
From his introduction:
"I decided to make this book available to the general public, and
hope that the readers will be able to use the basic outlines I have
given here for their own researches into alchemy and the Golden
Dawn. The second edition of this book is greatly expanded to include
more detailed information and is almost twice the size of the original.
Overall, I have included the Splendor Solis Harley plates from the
British library, and have locked them into the temple to the seven
officers (and planetary associations) of the Neophyte ritual and
the twelve zodiac signs. Hopefully, this will make the explanations
more palatable to digest. I selected Splendor Solis as an example as
it is a manuscript I have worked on for many decades. Additionally,
Mathers published a book on this text and I wanted to cover it for
tradition’s sake."
